SRUC Elmwood Countryside Management Student Diary : Days 5 & 6
Saturday rolled around and I had been looking forward to this day all week. I’d planned this trip for several weeks after first hearing about Corrie Fee in one of our classes. I’m just starting out on the challenge of bagging every Munro with a friend so we headed to Corrie Fee with the intention of wandering through the nature reserve – another site I was interested in for my assessment for class – and then make the climb to bag Mayar and Dreish.
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for the climb and we enjoyed a socially distanced hike that took about 6 hours start to finish and several fun discussions with other hikers out enjoying the day.
The descent absolutely exhausted my legs so I was pretty much useless the rest of the day but it was so worth it.
Sunday was a day of absolute rest and submitting assessments. I made a quick to do list for the week ahead and now I’m ready for the next week.
