TV Presenter
Frances Tophill is a co presenter on ITV’s, ‘Love Your Garden’. She completed her Horticulture with Plantsmanship degree at SRUC Edinburgh in 2013. The young face of gardening is not only passionate about plants, but is also an enthusiast for getting a new generation of green fingers into horticulture.

Chef at Michelin Starred restaurant
Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, Scotland’s only restaurant with two Michelin stars and ranked eighth in 2018’s Good Food Guide, has recently welcomed its new commis chef to the team. Euan Welsh completed his hospitality studies at SRUC Elmwood in summer 2017, and is loving his new role.

Gin producer
Jill Brown studied Rural Business Management in Aberdeen and recently launched Avva Scottish Gin. Jill’s passion for gin began as a hobby, when she was using Scottish berries to flavour spirits. Her skills gained at SRUC turned her passion into her business

Buffalo Farmer
Steven Mitchell graduated with a BSc in Agriculture and went to set up Scotland’s largest water buffalo farm in Fife. Steven also stars in the second series of BBC Two’s “This Farming Life”, which follows Steven’s trials and tribulations of managing a herd of unpredictable water buffalo.

Garden and Greenspace Designer
Amie Routledge completed her HND Garden Design at SRUC Edinburgh and set up ‘AJR Greenspace’ which provides a fresh approach to landscaping throughout Scotland and the UK. From sketch ideas and masterplans to comprehensive detailed design, planting design and project monitoring services, Amie brings a unique approach to the gardening world.

Ranger
Stuart Whittaker is a Lothian and Fife Area Ranger for the National Trust for Scotland. He completed an HNC in Countryside and Environmental Management via distance learning at SRUC Aberdeen. Stuart sees the core of his job is to interpret the story of nature to a younger generation.
