Scottish Apprenticeships Week Ends On a High
Last night’s awards ceremony saw SRUC pick up six winners prizes and a raft of runners up at the Hydro in Dunblane.
The glitzy evening was kicked off by well known stand-up comedian and farmer Jim Smith who kept the audience laughing late into the night. As a former SRUC student at Craibstone campus in Aberdeen, Jim had a real connection to the event and is still incredibly passionate about the industry.
Some of the winners included:
Lauren Attwood- Veterinary Nursing Animal Care Learner of The Year
Tyler Tovey- Horticulture – Horticulture Learner of The Year
Other winners included Kyle Baker MA in Trees and Timber; Don Martin, Land-based Engineering and Luke Taylor, Environmental Conservation and Rural Skills.
Congratulations to all winners and what a way to end Scottish Apprenticeships Week!
