Royal Northern Spring Show 2017
As is annual tradition, SRUC attended the Royal Northern Spring Show 2017 on Wednesday 1st of March at the Thainstone Centre, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
One of Scotland’s first major events in the farming calendar, this great agricultural shows included an extensive display of machinery and trade stands, horse and pony classes, produce, Young Farmers competitions, carcase cattle, exhibition cattle, pedigree cattle and sheep etc.
The show is regarded as an outstanding business day by agricultural suppliers, major sponsors of the event and the farming community.
Over 100 organisations promote their latest products and services on the show day and SRUC was present promoting our range of courses in the land-based industries, sharing our knowledge with experts in the field and keeping up to date with the latest agricultural news and equipment trends.
Our famous buzz wire game was very popular among the school pupils, and our team was kept very busy engaging with the public and other exhibitors.
Also, we were delighted to see so many of our own students visiting our stand as well as some very enthusiastic prospective students who will be starting with us in September.
The food at the event was great and we’ve even had the privilege of seeing Princess Anne, who passed right in front of our stall!
Overall, this was a fantastic event and we’ll certainly return next year!
