Free courses for green fingers

Spring has sprung and the grass has ris… We wonder where the peoples is.

For green-fingered Fifers, there are some great opportunities to brush up on your gardening skills that doesn’t involve coming to study with us!

Every year, our two dedicated SRUC Elmwood Horticulturists, Barry and Dave, run a weekly drop-in clinic for gardening enthusiasts to come along to, ask questions, and meet like-minded indivuals.

Barry and Dave’s Saturday Morning Allotment Club runs every Saturday from February 25th to June 24th and is free to attend. All you need to do is bring sensible clothing and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

Next up, the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust is hosting a free hedgelaying course in late March at Lochore Meadows country park in Lochgelly. On March 25 and 26th, over 16s can come along and learn about hedgelaying and all its facets. All you need is sensible clothing and your lunch.
