Field to Fork

Gamekeeping and Hospitality students from Elmwood recently took part in the Scotland’s Natural Larder Field to Fork competition.

The event, run by Scotland’s Natural Larder and BASC, saw students from both subject areas teaming up to create dishes using all-natural ingredients produced here in Scotland, focusing on the use of game as a primary ingredient.

The teams of students went out to visit various sites to source the ingredients, and then cooked up a storm in the Themes Training Restaurant at Elmwood. The Hospitality students learned about the Gamekeeping side, and vice-versa.

The winners, Catherine Harper and Jonathan Grey, will go on to face other colleges’ teams at the finals.
