The campus came alive with music and competitions from the Tay FM roadshow, which included live links throughout the afternoon. The beautiful grounds provided the perfect backdrop for a range of activities including a gun dog demonstration from gamekeeping lecturer Jim Goodlad and alpacas and pet lambs from Claddach Farm and assisted by animal care students.  Conservation lecturer Victoria Pendry helped youngsters identify different species of pond life.   Silly McB the clown, a bouncy castle, crazy golf putting and a street football game provided by Police Scotland kept everyone entertained.  Course information was also readily available as well as tours of the campus and residence.

The hospitality section provided the barbecue, tea, coffee and cakes as well as cookery demonstrations and tastings. There was also a chef’s hat design competition and cupcake decorating.

The plant sale was as popular as ever along with hanging basket demonstrations and pallet gardens provided by the horticulture department. There was also a display of John Deere machinery.  Visitors enjoyed a number of craft stalls from local artists and the atmosphere in the main hall was enhanced by local musician and member of staff Rich Gordon, who piped in the visitors at the beginning of the day and provided some saxophone in the afternoon.

The campus was very well supported by the local community with representatives from Fife Bonsai Society, Cupar in Bloom, Castlehill Primary, St Columba’s Primary, Kilmaron Primary, Scottish Fire Service, and the Yvonne Gray Dance Studio, who choreographed a range of dances in the gym hall.
