College Street Students – Luisa from Team Home
Italian Garden Design student Luisa Grassi is a member of Team Home, one of the student groups designing and constructing a front garden on College Street at this year’s Gardening Scotland.
Growing up in a small town in the North-East of Italy I had the luxury of being in tight contact with nature and it’s inhabitants, this created in me a great passion and curiosity for my surroundings. In order to satisfy my curiosity I choose to go to high school in a Agricultural Technical Institute, after having completed the aforementioned course I was unsure about which path to go down with the progression of my studies, having learnt about the degree in Garden and Greenspace Design offered by SRUC I visited Edinburgh and instantly fell in love with the city and it’s people. Since last year I have been living and studying here whilst working on other projects simultaneously.
Favourite design style: Scandinavian/Minimalist
Design Icon: Pietro Porcinai and Roberto Burle Marx
