SRUC Edinburgh Environment Students – Integrated Catchment Management

Final year Environmental Management students along with some Erasmus visitors, all studying at SRUC’s Edinburgh Campus, visited Eddleston Water as part of their Integrated Catchment Management module.

The group were looking at the Natural Flood Management project taking place at Eddleston and offer thanks to Derek Robeson from the Tweed Forum for leading the tour and discussion.

The group viewed different natural flood management techniques and discussed the meaning of integrated catchment management, along with discussing a number of other relevant themes such as grant schemes, policy drivers, planning, and mapping tools.

The Tweed Forum is a chartable body with an interest in managing the Tweed and its environs, working with a number of partner members and local stakeholder groups.
